Documents show UAE aimed to pursue gas deals ahead of COP28, BBC says

An investigation by the BBC and the Centre for Climate Reporting (CCR) suggests that the United Arab Emirates, host of COP28, planned to discuss potential natural gas and commercial deals ahead of the U.N. climate talks. Leaked documents, allegedly prepared for COP28 President-designate Sultan Al Jaber for meetings with at least 27 governments, included talking points to advance the interests of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in liquefied natural gas (LNG) and petrochemicals.
