
Dubai’s attorney general has appealed a judge’s decision to reject the extradition of a British national man to Denmark where he faces charges related to an alleged tax fraud scheme.
The Dubai state media office on Friday tweeted that Attorney General Essam Issa Al Humaidan had appealed this week’s decision by a Dubai judge to reject the extradition of Sanjay Shah.
The appeal will be heard in the Dubai Court of Cassation.
Chancellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, Attorney General of Dubai, has appealed the ruling issued by the Dubai Court of Appeal refusing Denmark’s request to extradite Sanjay Shah, a British national wanted by Danish authorities for alleged tax fraud and money laundering.
