UAE declares three days of mourning after President’s brother Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan passes away

Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler of Abu Dhabi, has died. He was the younger brother of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Abu Dhabi. The statement announcing Sheikh Saeed’s death did not provide further details about the cause of his passing, although the Presidential Court confirmed he had been ill. The country will observe three days of official mourning with flags flown at half-mast.
